MV Chem Pluto, ek cargo ship hai jo Saudi Arabia se aayi hui crude oil ko transport kar rahi thi aur ispar Houthi militants ne drone attack kiya tha. Ye ship Mumbai port pahunch gayi hai. US ke mutabiq, drone attack Iran se aaya tha, lekin Tehran ne is ilzaam ko nakaara kiya hai.

Chemical tanker, jo Liberia ke flag ke neeche hai, Japan ke malik hai aur Netherlands dwara operate hoti hai, ko 23 December ko Indian coast ke lagbhag 200 nautical miles door Houthi militants ke drone ne target kiya tha. Yah Saudi Arabia ke Al Jubail port se New Mangalore port ja rahi thi.

Bharatiya Navy ke mutabiq, is merchant ship par 20 Indian aur Vietnamese crew the, lekin attack mein kisi ko bhi chot nahi ayi.

US ke anusar, MV Chem Pluto par hui hamla ek "one-way attack drone fired from Iran" se kiya gaya tha. US ye bhi kehta hai ki ye attack Yemen ke Iran-backed Houthi rebels dwara kiya gaya tha, jo Red Sea mein ships ko target kar rahe hain.

White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson ne kaha hai ki Iran Houthis ko weapons, funding, training, aur "tactical intelligence" provide kar raha hai, jo Red Sea mein strikes karne mein madadgar hai.

Iran ne is ilzaam ko nakara hai aur kaha hai ki ye sab sirf political motivated accusations hain. Indian Navy aur intelligence agencies ab iss drone attack ko investigate kar rahe hain, aur safety ensure karne ke liye kaam kar rahe hain.
