Watching Messi and FC Dallas in a Soccer Game

Last night at the Cotton Bowl, Lionel Messi did some cool stuff, taking three shots, but sadly, Inter Miami lost 1-0 to FC Dallas in a preseason game.

Messi Trying Hard

In the first part of the game, Messi tried his best, shooting three times at the goal. The weather wasn't great - a bit of rain and it was pretty cold at 40 degrees Celsius. Messi did his thing, but he left the game about 15 minutes into the second part, and Inter Miami was behind.

Ferreira's Quick Goal

Jesús Ferreira from FC Dallas scored really fast, just three minutes into the game. That goal stayed, and FC Dallas won in the end.

Messi's Shots and Collodi's Saves

The FC Dallas goalie, Michael Collodi, was a hero, saving Messi's shots. One dive to the left in the 12th minute stopped Messi's second shot. Messi's third shot in the 27th minute went wide left, and Inter Miami couldn't catch up.

Suárez's First Game in the U.S.

Luis Suárez, Messi's buddy from FC Barcelona, played his first game in the U.S. with Inter Miami. He shot twice in the first part, but Collodi stopped the first one, and the second went wide right in the 44th minute.

Tough Second Half for Inter Miami

Even though Inter Miami had control in the first half, things got tough in the second. They couldn't score again, following a 0-0 draw with El Salvador in the previous game.

FC Dallas Holds On

FC Dallas, who used to play at the Cotton Bowl until 2009, defended well in the second half. Antonio Carrera, their goalie, did a good job.

Playing Against Messi - A Big Deal

Before the game, FC Dallas president Dan Hunt said playing against Messi was a big deal. Not many places get to host someone like Messi, who's one of the greatest players ever, maybe just after Pele.

Messi's Time in Miami

Messi came to Miami last July and scored ten goals in seven games. He helped Inter Miami win their first trophy, the Leagues Cup, on Aug. 19.

What's Next for Inter Miami

Now, Inter Miami is off to Saudi Arabia for more games. They'll face Al Hilal next Monday and Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr on Feb. 2.

To sum it up, Messi did his thing, but Inter Miami lost to FC Dallas. The game showed us Messi's skills and what challenges Inter Miami faces in the upcoming games.
